The customer contacted Uplink Systems after experiencing ongoing WiFi issues throughout their home and wanted a permanent solution. Despite trying various WiFi boosters and ISP-supplied mesh systems, reliable coverage could not be achieved.

Following a thorough site survey, we identified that the property’s unconventional layout, combined with solid internal walls, was the root cause of the poor wireless performance. Based on our findings, we recommended a properly designed multi-access-point solution, requiring five access points to deliver consistent coverage across the home.

The customer opted for in-wall wireless access points, providing a clean, discreet finish while delivering dual-band connectivity with speeds of up to 1200 Mbps. These access points were strategically positioned throughout the property to ensure strong, reliable WiFi coverage for all areas of the home.

As the property did not have a dedicated communications room, we designed a simple and tidy network core using a compact PoE switch installed in a downstairs cupboard, keeping all equipment neatly hidden from view.

The result was full, uninterrupted WiFi coverage throughout the home, delivering a reliable experience for the entire household. This project is a great example of how Uplink Systems designs and installs tailored WiFi solutions to suit each individual property.
